SYNOPSIS
A fourth grader tries to make sense of her father’s mysterious
disappearance by becoming an ace speller. A freelance designer reels
from the emotional cost of an affair with a man she knew was married all
along. An archeologist travels to a ghost town to dig for obsidian and
confronts her brother’s death. A seemingly unsuitable couple gets even
closer when they decide, one night, not to sleep together.
Each of the stories in The View from Below explores the risks and
promise of intimacy, the tenuousness and tenacity of connection.
